These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Dourabo mobile application and website (together, the “Service”), operated by Nerddevs (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Dourabo Is

Dourabo is a directory and companion app for running events in Bangladesh. It lets you discover marathons and other races, keep track of the events you plan to run or have registered for, record your run on race day, and archive your results.

Dourabo is not the organizer of the events it lists and does not process race registrations or payments. See Section 5.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms — see Section 11.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, obscene, or harmful
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with an organization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or other accounts
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service without written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Falsify race activity data or misrepresent a result you did not achieve

5. Event Listings and Third-Party Registration

Event information on Dourabo — including dates, venues, distances, registration windows, and fees — is supplied by event organizers or compiled from public sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate, but we do not warrant that any listing is complete, accurate, or current.

Registration for an event takes place on the organizer’s own website or platform. When you tap “Register Now”, you leave the Service. Any contract, payment, refund, cancellation, or dispute relating to an event is solely between you and the organizer. Marking an event as “Registered” within Dourabo is a personal bookkeeping label; it does not register you for the race.

Always confirm event details directly with the organizer before travelling or paying.

6. Race Tracking and Fitness Data

The race tracking feature records your location using your device’s GPS to estimate route, distance, pace, and time. Use of location data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Tracking data is an estimate, not an official result. GPS accuracy varies with device hardware, weather, terrain, tall buildings, and tunnels. Distances and paces recorded by Dourabo may differ from the official timing of an event and must not be relied on for any official, competitive, or medical purpose.

Health and safety. Running carries inherent risks. Dourabo does not provide medical advice. Consult a physician before beginning any training or race. Do not interact with your device while running in traffic or on unsafe terrain — stay aware of your surroundings at all times. You participate in any event and any run entirely at your own risk.

Continuous GPS use significantly increases battery consumption. Dourabo is not responsible for a device running out of battery during a race.

7. Your Content

You may upload race certificates and photos to your archive (“Your Content”). You retain ownership of Your Content.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service and making that content available back to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Organizer Accounts

Organizations may register to publish events on Dourabo. If you use the Service as an organizer, you additionally agree that:

• You are authorized to act on behalf of the organization you represent.
• Event details you submit are accurate, lawful, and kept up to date, including any change to date, venue, or registration window.
• Submitted events are subject to review and approval by us before becoming publicly visible. We may decline, edit, unpublish, or remove any listing at our discretion.
• You are solely responsible for your event, its participants, its safety, and any registration fees or refunds you collect.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and the Dourabo name and logo, is owned by Nerddevs and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that tracking data will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nerddevs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service — including injury sustained during a race, reliance on an inaccurate event listing, or loss of recorded activity data.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraudulent or abusive activity, or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 7, 9, and 10 — will survive.

12. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; we will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
